Summary: "Very Helpful!"
This was a very helpful book when I sat down to study for my SAT math 1 subject test. Each chapter is very detailed and includes example questions, explanations, and practice questions. There are also full practice tests in the back of the book, which really helps when trying to get acquainted with pacing and time. This book was a great success overall, and I really recommend it for anyone wanting to take the math 1 SAT subject test.

Summary: "Eh..so-so"
I did every practice question that review book had to offer, and then some. I was hoping for something in the 700s, but, of course, I just missed the mark by 10 pts. 690. A so-so review book. I would recommend purchasing the book of released exams by college board because the practice tests in the back of the Barron's is inaccurate.

Summary: "TOO Detailed"
My recommendation:
If you're a math person, this is the book for you.
If you're not a math person, do not get this book (unless you have a ton of time on your hands; and as long as you don't get too down on yourself when you're receiving 100-150 lower on practice tests than you will on the real thing)
Going into the real exam, I figured I was going to get around a 650 because I had miserably failed all of Barron's tests. Luckily, I am not a nervous person going into exams, but if I was, I would have been VERY nervous about this test because Barron's terrified me. Not being a math guru, I did not understand some parts of this book initially. It certainly covered all the topics, but I think it went too detailed into some parts--distracting from the main points. I was very happy to get my 720. I am sure my relatively high score was due to my becoming accustomed to the difficult material in Barron's.

Summary: "Very Helpful Study Tool"
I used this book in conjunction with the Kaplan Mathematics IC and IIC study guide and the Real SAT Subject Tests and I thought it worked really well. The tests in this book are invaluable and though a bit hard, give very good preparation for the test.
I just took the Math IC test yesterday and I didn't encounter any questions I didn't know so that to me says this book was a success.
